Spring Holiday Algarve

A spring holiday Algarve, for example, in May has many advantages, especially if you do not like hot summers. The Algarve is therefore an ideal sunny destination for an unforgettable spring holiday/sprimg break. The Algarve is often chosen over other southern holiday destinations. Mostly by people who could use some extra vitamin D and energy after a long cold winter. In April-May, almost all schools are closed for at least 1 and a maximum of 2 weeks due to the spring holidays, often together with certain holidays.

The spring break or the carnival holiday are also very suitable for taking a break in the sunny south. It’s a good time to soak up the spring sunshine or to avoid the carnival crowds in your own country. Surely, that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Of course, one can also use the spring break as a skiing holiday or winter sports holiday. This is somewhere in the mountains, and for some people a preference. However, the majority of holidaymakers will appreciate a wonderful sun holiday in the Algarve more at the beginning of the year.

In February, the hours of sunshine per day in the Algarve are of course shorter than in summer. Still the sun shines very regularly and daytime temperatures are quickly between 15 and 19 degrees Celsius. These temperatures are very pleasant for all kinds of activities. There is a chance of a cold wind from the north, but lying on the beach and getting some coloring is certainly possible.  Apart from that, it is also a wonderful temperature to go for a walk and enjoy the surroundings of the Algarve, to see the blooming almond trees and also to enjoy something tasty on a terrace.

For a May holiday in the sun of the Algarve, you can enjoy the very pleasant Mediterranean climate. In the month of May, the humidity is low. Everyone will appreciate the Atlantic sea breeze with very pleasant temperatures of around 22 and 25 degrees Celsius. The temperature of the sea water itself has then risen to approximately 20 degrees Celsius. When sea water reaches 20 degrees Celsius an occasionally swim in the sea is possible.
